Beautiful classic blue and white fine porcelain produced in Germany by the same makers who first decoded the magic formula for porcelain in the west in 1708, Meissen Porcelain Manufactory. This Tureen features the well-known and broadly collected Blue Onion pattern on a round, bulging soup tureen with ornate handles that flare out in a sort of watery wave. The Finial handle atop the lid is a similar twisted swirl.
I believe this tureen was produced after or around 2000. It appears to have never been used. Along with the simple sword or "x" backstamp are blue stamped numbers 3023 as well as pressed numbers 0023 on one side and "104 AK" on the other side.
Measures 11 inches at its widest (handle-to-handle); opening rim is 8 inches diameter; height with lid is 8 inches
