This romantic piece is hand-painted with pink and fuchsia dogwood roses (artist signature underneath) against a watercolor-like background of pale blues, pinks, and greens with thickly applied gold trim. It has a date stamp printed underneath indicating the mould was patented January 23, 1906 by Jean Pouyat (Limoges). This particular mold features a textured lightly wavy rim with a sprinkling of raised points. It's in excellent antique condition with no more than minor signs of wear, free of any damage such as chips, cracks or repairs. Measures about 9 1/2 inches across.
