These iconic mid-century head vases are a collectors' favorite. Napcoware is one of the more sought after makers (Japan). Coming in a wide variety of elegant styles and sizes, this fine lady wears a turquoise blue floppy bucket hat with light blue bow and matching sweater set with a string of pearls and single pearl earrings. She has bright red lips and dark eyeliner. Her gaze is relaxed, neutral. This hollowed out bust is designed to be a planter or vase and this one is remarkably large at 10 inches tall with a 5 inch wide opening. Please see photo of her with her smaller friend for a sense of scale (smaller head vase listed separately). PLEASE NOTE CONDITION ISSUES BELOW.
GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION: Please note faint crazing throughout and some spots of wear or small scuffs to paint including edge of hat (see closeup photo), back of hat, and right eye (a few spot of paint missing). There is also a stray paint mark where the maker brushed an area of light blue with the dark teal blue around the base where her left shoulder would be. All of these are represented in the pictures: please look closely at photos.
Aside from crazing and worn paint, she is free of chips, cracks, dings, nicks, and repairs. She also has all her jewelry in tact!
