This stunning 11.5 inch bowl is outrageous with ornate motifs of birds and flowers in hues of gold, purple, fuchsia, pink, peach and yellow against a glossy white base. The rim of the bowl is partially comprised of the curves of the bird's head and long tail feathers with echoing ribbons that wrap around almost half the scalloped round rim. There are two large flowers with a lustre finish artfully placed to one side. The center of the bowl has an applied image of a bouquet of daffodils and lilacs. There is a fine garland of tiny purple violets and gold trim all around the rim as well. This exceptionally dynamic bowl could make a great wall hanging or table top decor. Unmarked, maker unknown but I'm nearly certain it's a piece from Bavaria.
Excellent vintage condition - some signs of wear including minor points of discoloration and wear to paint: please look closely at photos for accurate depiction. Free of cracks, chips or crazing.
