This handsome, large piece of transferware features elegantly tufted handles in a nice warm beige with a subtle floral pattern in both warm and cool brown hues. The shape is really beautiful with slight curves and pinched, rounded sides. Backstamped underneath with Johnson Bros' 1883 mark. Good vintage condition with significant and widespread crazing and staining. Completely free of cracks or chips, however. Ideal for collectors seeking crazed, stained ironstone. Measures 13 inches handle-to-handle, 4.5 inches high with a 10.5 x 7.5 inch rim.
