This remarkable French/Belgian vase is truly exquisite. Mostly white, it features a couple embracing with a horse behind them, as if they are saying final goodbyes or perhaps a long-awaited hello! All figures rendered in sculptural relief with striking detail and artfully presented against a backdrop of white and green foliage. The vase was once one of a pair. Marked underneath with a number. To the best of my knowledge this piece was made in France or Belgium in the 1800s. Full sized flower vase at 9.25 inches tall and 5.75 inches wide. Excellent vintage condition - significant wear to the green paint and gold trim, but free of cracks, chips or any other damage.
